When best friends, Verlene Eaker and Diana Federico opened Crayons 2
Computers in 2000 they had a vision of becoming a child care center that
was more than just your average "baby sitting service" that was typically
seen in Gaffney.
Our goal was to reach into the hearts and minds of young children while
engaging their minds with the positive life skills they would need when
they reached school.
We wanted to educate our young children in all areas of life, sharing with
them cultural experiences such as plays, museums and musicals. We
teach them basic cooking classes, Spanish, Science and Social skills in
addition to the basics of ABC's and 123's.
Our company employs 12 staff members. Our Management team
includes:
Diana Federico, Co-Owner and Director. Diana previously worked in a
physican's office for 18 years and is a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Verlene Eaker, Co-Owner and Director. Verlene also worked in the same
physician's office and was the office manager for 12 years.
Dolores Jones, Assistant Director. Dolores came to Crayons from
Connecticut's Head Start Program. Dolores have 15 years experience in
child care.
